OpenVZ consists of a kernel, user-level tools and templates. Kernel and tools are needed to install OpenVZ, and templates are needed to create containers.

Yum repository

If you are using yum, you can add openvz yum repository by putting openvz.repo file to your /etc/yum.repos.d/ directory. For more info, see wiki:Yum.

Debian

GPG signatures

OpenVz7 packages are signed by Virtuozzo GPG key.

Legacy RPM packages released by OpenVZ project are signed by OpenVZ GPG key. You can get the public key from here, here or here and import it to your RPMDB using rpm --import filename command. For more info, see wiki:Package signatures.
